A found photograph by Greek photographer Leonidas Papazoglou from the 1920's portraying civilians from an unidentified village during the Balkan wars gathered for the funeral of a priest, were asked by the photographer to pose next to the exposed corpse, surrounding the camera. I see this act as an early ancestor of immersion and immersive technologies. I felt the compulsive need to cut out the religious icons, crosses and bibles, heads and body parts and merge them into an uncanny moving organism that resembles a clock.
