Sharp objects attack disembodied heads. The two screens become almost personified to me, taking the roles of the “victim” and the “victimizer” respectively, like two character’s in Pasolini’s Salo. Fragmentation and discontinuity are key elements in Chop
Choip Tale, and what is “missing” often becomes more haunting than what can be seen. Like the image of Saddam Hussein’s decapitation in the media, an image I never saw, but which was haunting me for years.
